Property Owners Association of Greater Baltimore, Inc. CODE OF ETHICS
- To provide safe, decent, uncrowded & sanitary housing;
- To initiate and support housing legislation in cooperation with government agencies;
- To encourage strict compliance with all housing and health laws by owners and tenants, and to support strict enforcement of obligations of owners and tenants;
- To select tenants carefully with the objective to maintain good neighborhoods;
- To render to tenants all services specified in rental agreements and to require tenants to make any complaint directly to owners, and, if the complaint is not corrected, then to the proper authorities who will contact the Property Owners Association;
- To develop and promote forums for continuing education that encourages skills and understanding to maintain property and effective interaction between property owners and tenants;
- To provide guidance to members in their efforts to upgrade properties and stabilize neighborhoods;
- To never be a party to any plan or agreement that discriminates against a tenant on the basis of race, religion, color, creed, sex, national origin, family status, handicap or disability, age, or gender identity.
